Pulse N.Y Contemporary Art Fair Announces List of Exhibitors for 2009 Fair

Following a strong showing in Miami, PULSE New York returns to Pier 40 in Greenwich Village for its fourth and most diverse New York edition. The 95 galleries represent 26 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia, with 11 galleries representing six Asian nations. PULSE New York expands its presentation of large-scale sculptures and installations, and will include the return of the PULSE PLAY> video lounge curated by Marina Fokidis. A complete list of all cultural programming will be available in February.

“With the Armory Show now featuring modern art exhibitors this year, PULSE now holds the role of New York’s premier art fair dedicated solely to contemporary art” said Helen Allen, Executive Director of PULSE Contemporary Art Fair. “Despite the economic climate, PULSE has continued to grow both in Miami and New York without sacrificing the quality of its exhibitors. While adjustments remain, art fairs have proven themselves an essential component of the art community, and PULSE appears to be among its most resilient.”

The Fair will be held on Pier 40 (West Side Highway at West Houston Street) and will take place from Thursday, March 5 through Sunday, March 8, to coincide with the Armory Show.
