SEVEN FILMS: SEVEN SOLO SHOWS SEVEN DAYS

THE FILM SHOWS ARE A SERIES OF SEVEN SOLO EXHIBITIONS THAT WILL TAKE PLACE DAILY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE WEEK AT 79A BRICK LANE, A NEW PROJECT SPACE SET UP BY MARTIN CREED AND DAVID SOUTHARD IN THE FIRST FLOOR FLAT WHERE CREED USED TO LIVE.

EACH ARTIST HAS CHOSEN A FEATURE FILM, THE VISUALS OF WHICH WILL BE PROJECTED IN THE MAIN ROOM OF THE FLAT, WHILST THE AUDIO SOUNDTRACK WILL BE PLAYED SEPARATELY IN A SECOND, SMALLER ROOM. THE ARTISTS WILL SHOW WORK, WHICH INCLUDES SCULPTURE, INSTALLATION, VIDEO AND PAINTING, IN BOTH THESE SPACES. EACH EXHIBITION WILL START AT 8PM AND FINISH WHEN THE FILM ENDS

MONDAY 8TH DECEMBER: 8PM KAZIMIERZ JANKOWSKI WITH BORIS SEGAL'S THE OMEGA MAN 98 MINS.

TUESDAY 9TH DECEMBER: 8PM RICHARD JOHN JONES WITH ORSON WELLES' F FOR FAKE 85 MINS.

WEDNESDAY 10TH DECEMBER: 8PM OLIVIER CASTEL WITH TERRENCE MALICK'S BADLANDS 94 MINS.

THURSDAY 11TH DECEMBER: 8PM RACHEL PIMM WITH PETER WEIR'S THE TRUMAN SHOW 103 MINS.

FRIDAY 12TH DECEMBER: 8PM JUSTIN JAECKLE WITH JOHN BADHAM'S SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER 118 MINS.

SATURDAY 13TH DECEMBER: 8PM PATRICK SHIER WITH ROBERT ALTMAN'S PRÊT-À-PORTER 133 MINS.

SUNDAY 14TH DECEMBER: 8PM JENIFER EVANS WITH ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S NORTH BY NORTHWEST 131 MINS. 79A BRICK LANE, LONDON E1 6QL

The venue is a first floor flat on the corner of Brick Lane and Cheshire Street which belongs to the artist Martin Creed. Since he moved out about one year ago, a permanent installation of his work The lights going on and off has been visible from the street. The flat is now used as a project space, called 79a Brick Lane, and a group show curated by Martin Creed's ex tutor, Tess Jaray, is currently on show.
