Creative urban regeneration initiative Gap Filler aims to temporarily activate vacant sites within Christchurch, New Zealand with projects for community benefit. It’s ‘Dance-O-Mat’ is a converted washing machine that turns an empty space into a dance floor.
Lost At E Minor reports that it was created in response to the loss of dance studios and performance spaces around the city. When you insert $2 into the machine, sound and lighting come on to start an instant dance party that lasts for 30 minutes. You can plug in your iPod, MP3 player or smartphone and press play to hear your tunes and get dancing.Via: [PSFK]
