Greg Eason answers FADs Questions

1.If you weren’t an artist, what else would you be?
I would be making music, but I guess that’s still an artist.

2. Can you tell us more about your work and what are the main ideas you would like to express?
I mostly work with pencil. Recently I’ve also been casting concrete and working with varnish for a forthcoming solo exhibition. My current practice is influenced by time theory, and the recurrent themes of mortality, spirituality, Anthropocene and the apocalyptic.

3. How do you start the process of making work?
I’ll sketch out ideas, once I have an image in mind I’ll take / find photographs and build compositions in Photoshop or Maya.
