artAZ is organizing SURPRISE 5, its 5th annual exhibition for the support of the homeless of Athens, and invites all interested artists to submit work for consideration.
Artists are invited to create a small-scale work (recommended size is 18×24 cm) and sign it on the back, so that their identity remains unknown. There is no special theme but it is advised to refrain from drawing inspiration from the cause the exhibition is supporting. Preferred medium is painted works on canvas but other types of art (except photography) are very welcome as long as they are framed / on a solid surface.
The exhibition will take place the first week of February 2014, in Athens, but works will be uploaded online at artAZ from mid-December. To facilitate this process an image of the finished work is requested in advance of sending the artwork over to Greece. Submissions are accepted until 20th January 2014.
