Consisting of ink on rice paper paintings, Lee’s work questions what it is to be human. Paying tribute to his Chinese heritage but also delving into the disturbing psycho-painting of Bacon, his portraiture and still lives are a visceral mirror to the exterior world; a meditation on the dichotomies that occur when life, death, beauty and decay all coexist.
