The New York Times reports on a museum that is only 60 ft Square which celebrates the eccentric.
The exhibition space has been created in an abandoned elevator shaft . Museum juxtaposes the high and the low, the serious and the ridiculous. Museum is in its second season and starting to become a cult tourist attraction.

“With Museum, it’s about framing the objects that have the unexpected narrative, so that people can be reminded of the absurdity or the beauty or the meaning or the ugliness of everyday objects,” said Alex Kalman, 28, one of the founders of the exhibition space. “Now you’re no longer looking at the object, but you’re looking at what its purpose is in life.”

Museum is OPEN this weekend Saturday August 10th and Sunday August 11th from 12pm – 6pm. The new season showcases 15 all new exhibitions, a gift shop and cafe. Life exists around us, and the proof of our existence is both beautiful and absurd. Our footprint, which is often overlooked, dismissed, or ignored, is intriguing, and always worth exploring. Museum boasts an assemblage of assorted collections from around the world.
