Fitzrovia Lates: late night gallery openings on the last Thursday of the month.

Fitzrovia – an area known historically for its artist communities – has in recent years become home to many cutting edge galleries and is a new and expanding hub for visual arts in London. Following in the footsteps of many other successful late opening initiatives, Fitzrovia Lates will see over 20 galleries in the area open until 9pm on the last Thursday of every month launching on Thursday 28 June.

The area Fitzrovia is framed by Euston Road to the north, Oxford Street to the South, Portland Place to the west and Tottenham Court Road to the east. Fitzrovia Lates helps visitors to navigate this area by communicating its boundaries and mapping out the growing number of galleries opening within its borders.

The Fitzrovia Lates website – www.fitzrovialates.co.uk – will act as a central listings site for all of the participating galleries and will provide a map, gallery address listings and a monthly update on the galleries that will be open on the last Thursday of that particular month.

Over 20 galleries based in Fitzrovia will be participating in the scheme, giving visitors to the area the opportunity to view art after hours and attend special artist talks, performance and curator tours programmed especially for Fitzrovia Lates.

Participating galleries are: Alison Jacques, Art First, Bartha Contemporary, Carroll/Fletcher, Cole, England & Co, Fred Mann, Gallery Different, Gallery Libby Sellers, Gallery Vela, Haunch of Venison , Josh Lilley, Mummery Schnelle, Margaret Street Gallery, NETTIE HORN, Paradise Row, Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery, Regina, Rollo Contemporary Art, Rosenfeld Porcini, Scream, and TJ Boulting .

• Fitzrovia Lates is a collaborative scheme initiated and administered by Haunch of Venison
