1. If you weren’t an artist, what else would you be?

A writer, a very rubbish one.

2. Name 3 of your least favourite artists.

I love all creative’s. REALLY.

3. Anytime, any place – which artist’s body would you most like to inhabit?

Tracey Emin, her bed has seen more bums then a toilet seat.

4 What is your favourite ‘ism’?

Humanism.

5 What was the most intelligent thing that someone said or wrote about your work?

A quote from a review with Stated Magazine, you can see it on the ‘Work’ page of my website.

6. And the dumbest?

‘I don’t get it’

7. Do you care what your art costs? State your reasons!

No, I produce my art to help people the way creating it helps me.

8. What are the three big ideas that you would like your work to express?

Self-expression : Life : The truth

9. Are you a political artist?

No. I create for my wellbeing and nothing/nobody else.

10. How do you start the process of making work?

I like to listen to music whether it be rock, electro or classical. My work is focused on feelings and words – I am big lyric and quote fan which I often incorporate into my work, whether it be on the canvas or the title of piece.

11. What’s next?

…I get messy.

12. If Moma and the Tate and the Pompidou wanted to acquire one of your works each, which would you want them to have?

A piece called ‘Mother and daughter’, this piece sold only days after finishing and I’ve had so much positively about the piece that I wish I held onto it for a bit longer so people could see it in person. The piece was created when I lived at home with my mom, she was ranting at me for painting on the bed (I get paint everywhere so she had every right to), within the piece I documented us for those 10 minutes of mother and daughter.

13. Complete the following sentence “Blessed art the artists, for they shall……”

Remain creative forever.

14. Complete the following sentence “Blessed are the curators, for they shall…”

Believe in us.

15. Complete the following sentence “Blessed are the art critics, for they shall….”

Bow down before me.

16. What is your favourite cheese?

Mild cheddar, melted… it has to be melted.

17. What’s next for you?

I’m planning lots of exhibitions for 2012 to show new work. I’m also collaborating with another artist on a mixed-media piece, which is really lovely – I love working with others and bringing two ideas into one piece, very exciting.
