Trinity ? has kindly donated one of Christina Mitrentse’s new editions specially created for their recent show ‘Emblem – Deconstructed and Destroyed: A Homage To John Latham’ The piece pays a devoted tribute to John Latham’s book relief sculpture which penetrates the window fronting Flat Time House. Produced exclusively for Trinity ? to accompany the Billboard installation and gallery exhibition. This marks Vol.II of Mitrentse’s Add to My Library project, a series of participatory shows designed to provoke change in cultural institutions and the function of the material book, in association with the campaign to save public libraries in the UK and beyond.
Mitrentse is currently showing in and has co-curated the current exhibition ‘LINEAR B – A memorial project responding to works in the collection of Greek artist Nikos Alexiou’ at The Stephen Lawrence Gallery, University of Greenwich which forms part of SLAM’s upcoming art tour.
