Since 2005, Lazarides has been through some huge transformations They have taken stock and have decided to simplify things this summer and gather their many components together.
Continuing to bring approachable art to the masses, Lazarides Rathbone will carry on exhibiting incredible works from their stable of artists. Greek Street, Newcastle and www.shopatlazarides.com will now come together under one banner: THE OUTSIDERS.
Due to the demand for Lazarides editions, the popularity in the innovative contemporary artists and a desire to give exposure to emerging artists, THE OUTSIDERS will concentrate on the Lazarides philosophy and cater to all book, print and ephemera needs.
The Shop, both online and at Greek Street will expand upon the success of Lazarides’ inhouse editions workshop to produce exclusive small run editions, hand-finished prints, and works on paper at appealing prices. It will also continue to carry publications, limited editions and collectibles for the thousands of avid visitors who walk through our doors each year.
THE OUTSIDERS website will launch this autumn and will continue to be your one-stop shop for all things Outsider.
And if that weren’t enough, The Dungeon (Greek Street) and The Kitchen (Newcastle) will be project spaces for a dynamic programme of annual exhibitions. The versatility of these basement spaces will provide a platform for new and emerging artists, showcasing their talent as well as offering Lazarides artists a place to play freely and produce experimental shows.
