Following last years success students from Chelsea’s MA Fine Art course are holding a postcard auction at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA).
The auction, called ‘Going Postal’, will include postcards which have been designed and created by international artists and designers. Includes work by John Baldessari, Gary Hume, Tom Gauld, Paul McDevitt, Lawrence Weiner, Quentin Blake, Vic Reeves, Richard Long, Laura Oldfield-Ford Jonas Ranson Christina Mitrentse many more. It looks set to be an interesting night with a range of international artists, collectors, gallerists in attendance and compered by artist and head of MA Fine Art at Chelsea, Brian Dawn Chalkley.
Migrate Art presents ‘Scorched Earth’ a charity auction and exhibition of new works by leading artists, organised in direct response to the widespread deliberate destruction of crop fields in Iraq. The participating artists have created new works using paint pigmented with ash collected by Migrate Art from land scorched by these fires.

John Baldessari, the influential conceptual artist who helped transform Los Angeles into a global art capital through his witty image-making and decades of teaching there, died on Thursday at his home in the Venice neighbourhood of Los Angeles. He was 88.
