Artist Ingrid Pollard and MK Gallery win £100k Freelands Award 2020 as new report examines representation of female artists in Britain

Freelands Foundation has announced that MK Gallery, Milton Keynes has won £100k to host a solo exhibition by artist Ingrid Pollard (b.1953, Guyana) across its 500-square-metre galleries in 2022.

The Freelands Award shortlist announced

The Freelands Foundation have announced their shortlist for this year’s £100,000 Freelands Award. The Freelands Award aims to raise the profile of mid-career female artists and support the work of visual arts organisations outside London. It was launched in March 2016 by the Freelands Foundation, founded by Elisabeth Murdoch in 2015.
