Winners in each category will be announced on 12 May 2017 during the Vernissage of La Biennale di Venezia – 57th International Art Exhibition, followed by an award ceremony in September 2017 in Stockholm, Sweden to honour the winners.

2017 Absolut Art Award Finalists:

“Daniel and the 2017 Jury have selected a fantastic group of finalists, with diverse multidisciplinary practices and far-reaching interests. We are thrilled that there are six finalists for the Art Work category, and the hard decision the Jury faced demonstrates the high calibre of nominees this year. We look forward to reviewing the proposals in both categories and eagerly await the winners’ announcement in May”

, says Saskia Neuman, Global Art Manager, Absolut.

Sitting alongside the 2017 Absolut Art Award for Art Work and Art Writing will be the Emerging Artist Award, a new strand of the Absolut Art Award for 2017. Individuals under the age of 40 who have collaborated with the brand creatively from January 2015 to February 2017 are eligible to be nominated by their local Absolut teams. The winner of the Emerging Artist Award will be selected directly from a list of nominees by the 2017 Jury, and announced with the winners of the Absolut Art Award for Art Work and Art Writing in Venice in May.
