Closing this Saturday ( May 7th) GUESS WHO? is a series of Portraits of Mickey Mouse by renowned pop artist Philip Colbert.
Colbert, known for his witty and humorous pop paintings and sculptures, also founded and runs the cult pop art fashion label The Rodnik Band. Described by Andre Leon Talley as “the Godson of Andy Warhol”, Philip Colbert has collaborated with Disney to create a series of portraits inspired by Mickey’s iconic Pop status. Philip joins an impressive list of leading contemporary artists who have also been inspired by the cartoon icon in the past, including Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstien, Joyce Pensato and KAWS to name a few.
