Andy Warhol: Pop, Power and Politics exhibition at the Scottish Parliament a Unique exhibition is part of a celebration of the international legacy of the Scots-American philanthropist Andrew Carnegie

In a first for any parliament, the Scottish Parliament is set to host a free exhibition of more than forty works of Andy Warhol, brought to Scotland by the Carnegie UK Trust directly from the Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh.
This unique exhibition, Andy Warhol: Pop, Power and Politics, will explore the role of power and politics in modern life, within the home of debate in Scotland. Discover how the pop artist, who held up a mirror to the world, depicted the politics of his time. Warhol’s portraits of the Queen, Vladimir Lenin, Richard Nixon, and Jimmy Carter are among the works on loan from the Warhol Museum, Pittsburg.

The exhibition will open a 16-week festival of events celebrating the international legacy of the Scots-American philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. The philanthropist made his money in Pittsburgh and the Warhol Museum is just one example of his philanthropic legacy.
