Conceived and curated by Ismail Erbil & Patrick Michalopoulos, HOT-ONE-HUNDRED is a show of 100 emerging contemporary artists based in the U.K. One artist will be offered a solo show at Schwartz Gallery at the end of 2013 at the end of the exhibition. Following an Open Call format the 100 artists and the subsequent solo-show artist will be selected by Ismail Erbil and Patrick Michalopoulos, artist-curators of Schwartz Gallery, one of the largest and longest-running of the current crop of artist-run spaces in London. A reference to ranking systems seen in late-night popular music T.V programmes and art world power lists the exhibition creates a ‘HOT-ONE-HUNDRED moment’ in the emerging U.K contemporary art scene offering up a very real opportunity for a solo show in the gallery. Playfully mimicking the creation of power lists in the worlds of art, entertainment and business HOT-ONE-HUNDRED satirises this ‘heat’ phenomenon while simultaneously becoming an agent for its proliferation.

And the hot 100 are: Cos Ahmet, Pam Aldridge, Jack Spencer Ashworth, Dr Kat F Austen, Bailey&Carreira, Delia Baillie, Tom Bayliss, Jo Berry, Ingrid Berthon-Moine, Paul Bloomfield, Josué Borges, Daniel Bourke, Kristina Butigan, Samuel Capps, Graham Carrick, Marco Contino, David Cooper, Rowan DG Corkill, Sam Crabtree, Chris Daniels, Nicholas Dedics, Alexandra Drawbridge, Ralph Dunn, Jaime Eastwood, Philip Elbourne, Susan Eyre, Neill Fuller, Slaven Gabric, Toni Gallagher, Matt Gee, Kerry Gerdes, James Gilna, Aylwin Greenwood-Lambert, Soliana Habte, Simon Hall, Kirsty Harris, Steven Harris, Robert Hitzeman, Mark Houghton, Luke Humphries, David Hunt, Kaoru Ishikawa, Chiho Iwase, Alun Rhys Jones, Adam Kelly, Neil Kilby, Leo Koivistoinen, Laura Bodo Lajber, Toby Lattimore, Calvin Lau, Luna Jungeun Lee, Zac T Lee, Chloe Lelliott, Fernando Leon-Guiu, Durbin Lewis, Matthew Lloyd, Joshua Lockwood, Eugene Nyee Macki, Louisa Mahony, Tyler Mallison, Antonio Marguet, Rei Matsushima, Georgina McNamara, Adam McGowan, Vanessa Mitter, Harriet Murray, Mark Nader, Noemi Niederhauser, Martynas Noreika,  Ewa Obrochta, William O’Donnell, Guy Oliver, Hilary O’Mahony, Ashleigh Owen, James Petrucci, Jasmine Pradissitto, Henrijs Preiss, Simone Fontana Reis, Ian Robinson, Scott Robertson, Marion Sagon, Andi Schmied, Cybil Scott, Sam Shendi, Erin Solomons, Yuhwa Son, David Samuel van Strien, Jack Sutherland, John Swarbrick, Neil Taylor, Claire Tindale, Kazuya Tsuji, Hannah Weatherhead, Mark Wheatley, Rachel Wickremer, Mandy Williams, Hannah Williamson, Thomas Winstanley, Guimi You, Alia Zapparova.
