D*Face believes the mural is the largest outdoor work in the capital. It is 13 metres tall by 26 metres wide.

D*Face studied art in London and has been active for 15 years. He has been shown in galleries from New York to Los Angeles and Tokyo, specialising in re-working comic books, advertisements and currency to make social comments.

This mural, on Commercial Street near Spitalfields market, is part of the artist’s latest collection, New World Disorder.

The work has just finished showing at Brick Lane’s StolenSpace Gallery, where D*Face is a partner and gallerist, and the collection will now travel to Tokyo.
