Art13 Performances will address the recent revival of the medium, taking performance art out of the gallery and placing it in a new context
Art13 Performances, a dedicated platform for the presentation and discussion of performance art. Art13 London – London’s new global art fair, will take place from 1-3 March 2013 (VIP Preview: 28 February). Programmed across the three public days of the Fair, and taking place on the hour, the dedicated booth will showcase 11 performances by international artists, representing the range of contemporary performance art being produced today.
Art13 Performances will be curated by Amanprit Sandhu, who has overseen projects for the Liverpool Biennial and outdoor commissions for the Cultural Olympiad. Set against a site-specific backdrop designed by Welsh artist Bedwyr Williams, the presentations range from dysfunctional monologues to performances in which the audience are invited to become active participants.
