‘Start A War Morosky’ is an intimate set of images created by London based photographer Kevin Morosky.
The exclusively online exhibition is live at WWW.STARTAWARMOROSKY.COM from today till 30th December and the free digital book is also available to download featuring a foreword by Iddo Goldberg.
This new work is inspired by the song ‘Start A War’ by Morosky’s close friends and sometime creative collaborators, the cinematic new wave pop duo We The Committee.
“When you break up with someone you have forgotten what and who you were before them,” says Morosky. “You merge to a point where everything that came before is almost a myth.”
Morosky’s pictures depict a girl who loves her love. It’s not perfect but she stays because those lines between who she was, who she is and who she wanted to be, the lines of doing better or settling are all merged. She is past the point of good and bad. It’s all grey, but grey was always one of her favourite colours.

“The lyrics are so simple. It’s probably the easiest way an adult can ask for help,” says Morosky. “The real question is, when we start a relationship, do we love and fight at the same time or are we just starting wars?”
Morosky has recently shot a short film for MINI, documented PONY’s collaboration with dynamic design duo Dee and Rickey and Parisian concept store Colette, had his reportage images included in Jessie Ware’s album artwork and is currently working with emerging duo AlunaGeorge.
“I never try to create a picture, I never have,” says Morosky. “The perfect shot is all about waiting and capturing a moment, a feeling.”
Morosky’s images have been featured in i-D, The Guardian, Dazed & Confused, Vice, NYLON, The Fader, Dummy, Time Out New York and Metro, amongst others, and he has recently been championed by fashion industry bible Ones To Watch New Wave.
