Or when the first buses were introduced?

MA Camberwell art students Ellie Collins, Maria Ignatyeva & Léonie Cronin, go back in time to explore the unsung hero “Kitty”; the horse who launched Thomas Tilling omnibus services.

Hop aboard the Kitty bus at quarter past or quarter to the hour and clippity clop around Peckham Town Square; Take a peek into our Kitty box to admire the beautiful horse and feed her a sugar-lump;Then travel into the future and consult our resident Astrologer to find out if you are could be a future Peckham Hero!

‘On the Hoof’ is part of Peckham Heroes, currently showing at Peckham Space until March 26th 2011. Celebrated artist Jessica Voorsanger has transformed Peckham Space into a drop in karaoke bar dedicated to celebrity and historical personalities that have a connection with Peckham.
