Fuck Off, I Love You A Photographic Exhibition at The Londonewcastle Project Space Through to 26thAugust 2010

Fuck Off, I Love You is a collaborative photographic project conceived by director Huse Monfaradi and realised in collaboration with photographer Dan Wilton.

The concept is simple – to capture the emotive and cathartic outburst of energy from swearing to camera ? a freeze frame moment in mid action. Swearing is unarguably a hugely powerful tirade on the senses, not only for the person swearing but also for the person/people/object on the receiving end.

A personal and emotive project for both Huse and Dan, Fuck Off, I Love You combines a total of sixty of their friends in a homogenous portrait style for an exhibition, showcasing the raw moments of emotion and facial expression ranging from anger and rage to humour and simple bewilderment.

Whereas normally one would search for flawlessness and beauty in conventional portraiture, imperfections and facial contortions will be the driving force behind this project. Undoubtedly images will be captured that are far from flattering ? eyes closed, faces abnormally crumpled. Therein lies the charm behind Fuck Off, I Love You.

Huse has directed acclaimed music videos for artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Badly Drawn Boy & Eric Prydz, as well as commercials for brands such as Nike and Samsung.

Dan is a portrait and fashion photographer, shooting editorial for creative publications such as VICE, TANK and ‘SUP along with promo work for Universal Island, Red Bull & Smirnoff amongst others.
