Last year, when many in the world grew fearful of the wide-ranging swine flu epidemic, James Sadler felt inspired. Sadler, of Netherlands-based agency 180 Amsterdam, organized a call for artistic interpretations of the sneeze.
Entitled “Gesundheit” (Germany’s “God Bless You” equivalent), the ongoing project seeks to gather open submissions from around the globe on the attitude and energy conveyed in the action.
As submissions grow, Gesundheit plans to publicly display and auction its submissions in London and Amsterdam, with proceeds going to charities involved in the swine-flu pandemic.
